"That Night in December" book launch

The WAVE Trauma Centre launched a new book on Tuesday 8th December in the Long Gallery, Stormont Estate. The book entitled ‘That Night In December’ and tells the story of last years very successful ‘tree of lights’ event at WAVE in Belfast. The ‘tree of lights’ was a unique event in the history of WAVE which brought together several hundreds of people to remember those bereaved or injured during the ‘Troubles’. Beyond this it was also about transforming Christmas for many people that suffered and for whom Christmas has been traditionally hard. The book is filled with stories from those affected by the violence – they share their own thoughts on Christmas and why last years event was so special. (Copyright © Kevin Cooper Photoline NUJ)
